Chamomile is one of the most well known herbal teas, thanks to the mild, fruity flavor, apple fragrance, and capacity to soothe the nerves. It is a traditional remedy for stress and anxiety, indigestion, and insomnia. Chamomile tea is often used as a sleep aid, and to relieve pain and headaches. Studies have also shown improvement with gout, menstral cramps, and boosting the immune system. Moist compresses can be used for their antibacterial properties in healing wounds.

DIRECTIONS: Use 6 oz of water for each tea bag. Pour hot water over tea and steep for 5 minutes. Covering the cup with a saucer during steeping will retain the most nutrients. Never boil botanicals. Steep longer if desired, or reuse tea bag for a second cup. Sweeten to taste with honey or stevia if desired. Garnish with orange, lemon, or a stevia leaf.
