Passionflower tea has a delightful fruity floral fragrance and mild taste, with sweet undertones. The tea may be served hot or chilled.
Passionflower has been used for anxiety, insomnia, restlessness, epilepsy, and other conditions of hyperactivity, as well as high blood pressure. It is also used to treat Postpartum Depression in women who are not breastfeeding.
Passionflower can be such a potent herbal remedy because it calms muscle tension and twitching without affecting respiratory rate or mental function the way many pharmaceutical sedatives do. It also works well for menopause symptoms and ADHD. Passionflower is not recommended for pregnant or nursing women, as well as for children under the age of two.

DIRECTIONS: Use 6 oz of water for each tea bag. Pour hot water over tea and steep for 5 minutes. Covering the cup with a saucer during steeping will retain the most nutrients. Never boil botanicals. Steep longer if desired, or reuse tea bag for a second cup. Sweeten to taste with honey or stevia if desired. Garnish with orange, lemon, or a stevia leaf.
